I have recently discovered and embarked on an amazing yoga workout program, The Ultimate Yogi, with my boyfriend, Gio. Prior to this, neither of us had ever done yoga before. Gio is an athlete who trains intensely three times a day as he is a mixed martial arts fighter. I on the other hand, am definitely not an athlete. I don't work out at all and decided to take this journey because I wanted to reduce my stress levels, increase my flexibility and strength, and most importantly, lose some weight. Gio, who thinks yoga is for girls, is only doing it to increase his flexibility, but little does he know how beneficial this journey will be for him. We will bring two completely different perspectives to this blog by documenting the journey of male vs. female, athlete vs. average Jane and hopefully encourage you to become an Ultimate Yogi too.
The Ultimate Yogi is a 108 day journey, broken down into three 36 day cycles, which consists of a 12 disc yoga DVD set with 14 classes all taught by yoga guru, Travis Eliot. It also comes with a program calendar, program guide, and nutrition guide. Whether you are an expert or a beginner, this workout will push you to your limits. Below is an image of what the set comes with as well as a video that gives you a glimpse inside of what The Ultimate Yogi is all about.
